Obesity levels in the U.S. have NOT declined in recent years. In fact, they have risen. I think they will continue to rise for the foreseeable future, in part, due to a trend I’m sure you have noticed.

Have you seen more of those Amazon.com vans delivering packages to homes in your neighborhood?  Have you seen more workers in your local supermarket with Instacart, Uber Eats or Shipt  company T-shirts, delivering groceries to local homes?  Carvana – buy a car online and have it shipped to your door? Pizza delivery?  Stamps.com – never go the the Post Office again?  Order home furnishing from Wayfair? Drones delivering your packages?  Free delivery. Yes, the home delivery convenience trend is in full swing.

That means that we’re buying more and more stuff online, without going to a store and walking around, burning some calories, and thus increasing our sedentary hours. Result — more obesity, and more demand for weight loss products and programs of all kinds.
