Lately, there has been an explosion of new market research companies (publishers and resellers) from India entering the market. Most of the time, these companies are headquarterd in India and their analysts are located there, with sales offices in the UK or the U.S. Their reports are not necessarily cheaper than those of U.S. publishers. These analysts can’t possibly understand the nuances of U.S. markets, espeically niche and emerging markets, since their analysts don’t live here and don’t fully understand U.S. culture and our economy. Don’t be fooled by Johnny-come-latelies. Most of these companies have not been in business very long either. Heavy accents are also difficult to understand. Do yourself a favor – buy American.
